KBSU’s experience in protecting intellectual property was studied at the Rospatent conference
On September 28–29, the XXVII International Scientific and Practical Conference of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) “Intellectual Property for the State and Individuals” was held.
The business program of the conference included strategic sessions, panel discussions, thematic sections, round tables, at which Rospatent experts, invited speakers and conference participants discussed a wide range of topics related to the protection, protection and use of intellectual property.
Head of the Center for Support of Technologies and Innovations, Management of Scientific Research and Innovation Activities, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov Maryana Marzhokhova, at the invitation of the FIPS management, took part as a speaker in the panel discussion “Intellectual property as the basis of scientific and technological progress” and shared her long-term practice of interaction with Rospatent and the Federal Institute of Industrial Property on issues of valuation, accounting of intangible assets and commercialization of RIA of universities and research institutes of CBD.
In her speech, the specialist spoke about research and development developments protected by patents of the Russian Federation and certificates of state registration of computer programs and databases of patent holders / copyright holders of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, the Federal Scientific Center «Kabardino-Balkarian Scientific Center of the Russian Academy Sciences», Institute of Agriculture — branch of the Kaliningrad Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Maryana Marzhokhova also told what types of goods and products can receive legal protection as regional brands of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (trademarks, geographical indications and other means of individualization) to increase the market liquidity of rights to the results of intellectual activity, which will attract additional measures to support innovative and industrial projects to our republic.
At the end of the speech, a video presentation by the Ministry of Digital Development of the CBD “Kabardino-Balkaria wins hearts” was shown.
During the discussion, colleagues from the National Association of Technology Transfer received a proposal to post information about the developments of KBSU scientists on electronic platforms, such as the Patent Exchange, marketplaces of products and services, to search for investors and technology transfer with the subsequent commercialization of developments in our region protected by patents of the Russian Federation , and also take part in the “Successful Patent” competition.
