The active participation of the teaching staff of the medical academy in the work of such a large forum emphasizes the importance of training qualified personnel in the field of gerontology and geriatrics for the North Caucasus region. The acquired knowledge and skills will be used in the educational process, contributing to the formation of a deep understanding of the characteristics of aging and modern methods of providing medical care to the elderly in students,

— emphasized Fatima Dumanova.

The III All-Russian Olympiad in Gerontology and Geriatrics was held within the framework of the forum, in which students of the Medical Academy of KBSU took part. The KBSU team, consisting of Alina Sabanova (captain), Karina Pafifova, Kamila Temmoeva, Angelina Kholaeva, Diana Khushtova and Gulia Feyzullaeva, entered the top ten among the participants.

Future gerontologists competed in theoretical knowledge, demonstrating a deep understanding of age-related changes in the body, principles of diagnosis and treatment of geriatric diseases. For students, participation in the Olympiad is not only an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in the field of age-related medicine, but also to exchange experiences and ideas, communicate with recognized experts, learn about the latest achievements in gerontology and the prospects for the development of this area,

— noted one of the mentors of the KBSU team, Aksana Kardangusheva.
