Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, who has been a partner at the HSE since 2018.
Intensive U4Uonline is a face-to-face educational training for university teams that have included or plan to include online courses at the Higher School of Economics in their students’ curricula in 2020/2021 as part of their educational program.
The pandemic finally brought online education to the fore, which, in turn, required the strengthening of partnerships between universities to solve the problems of organizing it. Therefore, the main topic of the third intensive of the HSE was the transition to a distance work format. The exchange of experience was devoted to master classes and classes organized for managers and teachers.
The U4Uonline-2020 intensive program included training tracks from leading experts of the Higher School of Economics for managers and organizers of online training, internships with course authors for teachers of partner universities, and a strategic session was organized for leaders of partner universities.
From the Kabardino-Balkarian State University, seven teachers and staff took part in U4U. The first track was dedicated to the organization of online education in universities. HSE specialists shared their experience in the production and management of online courses. Particular attention was paid on the track to professional and student ethics of work in distance learning. The second track was organized for teachers who introduce online courses in various formats in the process of mastering educational disciplines by students. Several disciplines were chosen that the participants of the track had to study before the start of the intensive. During the implementation period of U4U-2020, the authors of these courses carried out advanced training of teachers-students, demonstrating the integration of an online course into the educational process.
The participants listened to a huge number of lectures in the videoconferencing format, discussed the burning issues of online learning, prepared an essay on methods and forms of online implementation in their universities.
Based on the results of training and passing the final tests, the participants of the intensive received a certificate of professional development or certificates confirming their participation in the U4Uonline 2020 intensive.
The HSE Online Learning Directorate thanked colleagues «for their participation and interesting discussion.»
