KBSU Takes Part In International Teleconference
February 26, the International Center for Science and Culture in Paris hosted an international round table «Interregional Dimension of Youth Projects in the Field of Science and Education», which brought together international diplomats, representatives of the university and academic environment, students and teachers.
The event was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the French Republic, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Rosmolodezh, the Federal Agency Rossotrudnichestvo and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and the KBSU named after H.M. Berbekov.
Counselor-envoy of the Russian Embassy in France Artem Studennikov warmly welcomed the sides of the space bridge and noted that each has something to say on the designated topic. Despite the difficult geopolitical situation in the world, it is the educated youth who are now taking the most decisive steps to establish agreement and mutual understanding.
The roundtable discussed issues of public and academic diplomacy, strengthening Russian-French cooperation through youth projects, as well as the fight against stereotypes in an era of information diversity.
In this regard, the organizing committee of the “Acquaintance with the Russian Caucasus” project presented its experience in this area, demonstrating the potential of this format. The rapporteur was Assistant State Duma Deputy Anatoly Bifov Arsen Kaskulov, who also addressed the audience with a welcome address.
The guest guest was a professor, diplomat, public and political figure of France Roland Yuro, who touched upon the problem of the relationship between classical and new types of diplomacy.
An important part of the round table was a videoconference in a trilateral format with MGIMO and KBSU named after H.M. Berbekov, who provided an opportunity to supplement the diplomatic module of the round table with a student vision of the future of international youth projects.
The participants noted the importance and value of such events, as well as the prospects of the project “Acquaintance with the Russian Caucasus”, including in the context of the active development of the mechanisms of the Trianon Dialogue in Education in 2019.
Pupils of a profile diplomatic class of the KBSU, which was opened last year on the basis of Gymnasium No. 4 of the city of Nalchik, succinctly joined the conversation. They spoke about the activities of the class and their experience in creating diplomatic projects.
The Department of Political Theory of MGIMO (associate professor Ya.I. Vaslavsky — organizer; teachers B.I.Ananyev and D.A.Parenkov — co-organizers, moderators, speakers), as well as the MGIMO student club “Future World Diplomats».
