KBSU summed up the results of the environmental competition «Our feathered friends»

April 1, as part of the celebration of the International Day of Birds at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, the winners and prize-winners of the republican ecological competition «Our feathered friends» and a labor action in the botanical garden of the KBSU were held.

The competition, organized by the Institute of Chemistry and Biology in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the KBR, REC «Botanical Garden», MOED «Ecology Life», the regional branch of the Russian Ecological Party «Greens», is aimed primarily at fostering respectful attitude towards birds in children and youth. , the involvement of children and their parents in joint creative activities for the manufacture of birdhouses in order to create favorable conditions for nesting birds.

The participants were divided into three age groups (grades 1-4, grades 5-8, grades 9-11), each of which included several nominations.

“During the preparation of this event, we received more than 100 works in various nominations, of which 38 works passed through competitive selection and review and were approved by the organizing committee. More than 30 educational institutions from different regions and parts of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic took part in the competition. Most of the works presented at the competition were performed at a high level. The students demonstrated the depth of knowledge, the ability to analyze the results obtained in the course of creative and practical work and a special approach to solving the problem posed, «said Milana Khashkulova, director of the Museum of the Botanical Garden REC.
