KBSU summed up the results of the competition for young designers “Stylish Accent — 2024”
April 26 at Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov was awarded the winners and prize-winners of the interregional competition of young designers “Stylish Accent”. It should be noted that the competition has been held annually since 2007 on the basis of the KBSU College of Design.
Strategic partners of “Stylish Accent” are the Art Center “Madina Saralp” and the Kabardino-Balkarian regional branch of the all-Russian public organization “Business Russia”.
The aspiring fashion designers were congratulated by the acting Vice-Rector of KBSU for organizing admissions and pre-university activities Arsen Kharaev, Director of the College of Design Alim Kanloev, Chairman of the Kabardino-Balkarian branch of the Union of Artists of Russia Zhanna Kanukova, Director of the art center Madina Saralp, Deputy Executive Director of the Kabardino-Balkarian regional branch of Business Russia Salidat Taumurzaeva, teachers Zalina Khadzhieva, Rima Tsorionova and others.
The competition was attended by students and graduates of the College of Design and the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design of KBSU, students of secondary schools and those studying in institutions of additional education and youth creativity.
“The goal of “Stylish Accent” is to discover new names in the fashion industry, attract attention to innovative collections, promote the most significant, innovative works in the all-Russian and international design arena,”
– explained the director of the KBSU College of Design, Alim Kanloev.
Experts evaluating the works of the contestants noted the high level of design solutions embodied in their collections, compliance with fashion trends, relevance, novelty and professionalism of execution.

Category “Sketches of collections” (Children)
Students of the Children’s Art School No. 2 named after. Zhabagy Kazanoko — Ariana Khagabanova for sketches of the collection “Motives of the Caucasus” and Karina Chechenova for sketches of the collection “Golden Thread”. Head Madina Elgarova.
The 2nd degree diploma was awarded to Munira Attasauova for the sketches of the collection “Through the Eyes of Munira” and Yasmina Kanukoeva for the sketches of the collection “Floral Garden”. Head Olga Minina.
Anna Khabarova received a 1st degree diploma for her sketches of the “Five Moments of Spring” collection. Head Olga Minina.
Category “Sketches of collections” (Students)
A special prize for the ironic but thoughtful concept of the image, sense of humor and understanding of youth preferences for the preliminary design of the Ramirez collection went to Platon But and Aslan Zhilov. Head of Rima Tsorionova.
A special prize for the male perspective on women’s fashion and commitment to the traditions of high fashion for the preliminary design of the “Maricuile” collection was awarded to Marat Kultubaev. Head Alina Blieva.
The 3rd degree diploma awarded to the preliminary designs of the “NUR” collection by Milana Shormanova and the “Sirtaki” collection by Isabella Khalilova. Head Bela Makhataeva.
The 2nd degree diploma was awarded to Madina Daurbekova for the preliminary design of the collection “Valhalla” based on the costume of Ancient Scandinavia and Fatima Ordokova for the preliminary design of the collection of women’s clothing in the style of “Vamono”. Head Bela Makhataeva.
The winner in the “Students” category was Sabina Pashtova, a 1st degree diploma was awarded for the preliminary design of the “Nasi” collection. Head Alina Blieva.

A special prize for an environmental line in fashion design was awarded to Elina Kodzokova for developing the collection “Fashion and sustainability: the path to a green look.”
Ulyana Shulika was awarded a 2nd degree diploma for the development of the stage costume collection “Melody of Shyklepshchyn”. Head: Nafiset Kidakoeva.
Also, a 2nd degree diploma for the development of the “Shelby” collection went to Kamila Akhieva. Leaders Alina Blieva and Elizaveta Kashezheva.
First place and a winner’s diploma for the development of the “Tineola bisselliella” (house moth) collection was awarded to Nicole Tanoyants. Head Zalina Khadzhieva.
The Grand Prix of the competition was awarded to Ushar Yali Husam for the development of the “Arabesque” collection. Leaders: Rima Tsorionova and Zalina Hadzhieva.
