The team from Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov, led by Lieutenant Colonel Albert Balakhov, head of the military training center, successfully represented the university at the International Forum «Unmanned Systems: Dual-Use Technologies.»

The event, held at Maykop State Technological University, brought together participants from 19 regions of Russia, including leading universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Donetsk, Lugansk, Krasnodar, Ufa, Astrakhan, Saratov, Chelyabinsk, Ulyanovsk, Nalchik, and other cities. A delegation from Minsk participated in the forum for the first time.

The forum’s program was extensive, encompassing both educational and competitive aspects. The scientific and practical conference «Digital Revolution: Unmanned Systems and Artificial Intelligence» was held. Participants exchanged research experiences and presented innovative developments in unmanned technologies and AI. Danila Churikov, a cadet at the KBSU Military Training Center, was awarded a first-place laureate diploma for his scientific report.

The culmination of the event was the drone race. The KBSU team, consisting of fourth-year students from the Institute of Electronics, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence Danila Churikov and Anton Sosedko, and third-year student from the Institute of Architecture, Construction, and Design Kantemir Maremshaov, demonstrated high reaction speed and control precision, placing among the top five.

«Participating in the forum was an invaluable experience for me. I was able to not only demonstrate my piloting skills and present my research results, but also learn about cutting-edge developments. «I am confident that the knowledge and contacts I’ve gained will help me in my future work on projects in the field of unmanned technologies,» Danila Churikov shared his impressions.
At the «Pilots of the New Time» exhibition, participants were introduced to modern Russian-made unmanned aerial vehicles used in a wide range of applications, from agricultural monitoring and cargo delivery to defense solutions.

The forum’s organizers’ primary goal is to engage young people in the development of unmanned systems and robotics, thereby expanding their professional horizons and supporting the industry as a whole.
