KBSU students performed well at the Abilympics-2023 regional championship
On June 1-3, 2023, the VII regional championship of professional skills for people with disabilities and disabilities «Abilimpics» was held in the KBR, in which 22 students of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov.
The colleges of the university have become the venues for the championship in four competencies. At the Pedagogical College of KBSU, the participants tried themselves in the competencies «Adaptive Physical Education» and «Primary School Teacher», in the College of Information Technology and Economics of the KBSU — in the competencies «Database Administration» and «Web Design».
Two students of the Institute of Law, Economics and Finance were applied for participation in the Economics and Accounting competency, the site of which was located at the Kabardino-Balkarian Humanitarian and Technical College.
On June 2, the venues of the championship were visited by a member of the Organizing Committee of the National Championship on professional skills among the disabled and people with disabilities «Abilimpiks», an international expert-auditor of the certification system in the field of preventing harm to people with disabilities and other low-mobility groups of the population, director of the Public Association «Union of All-Russian and Leading Organizations Disabled AbiArt” Natalya Krel, who talked with the guys, gave recommendations to the experts. As part of the business program of the regional championship, KBSU employees took part in round tables that were held at the Kabardino-Balkarian Humanitarian and Technical College.
At the round table «Employment of young people with disabilities in modern conditions: problems and ways to solve them» the director of the career development center of the career development department of KBSU shared with teachers Christina Lopatina. Lyudmila Nastuyeva, head of the Department of Inclusive Education of the UEP KBSU, spoke about how an inclusive educational environment was formed at KBSU, about the dynamics of the number of students with disabilities and disabilities and about the specifics of working with them. Olga Mikhailenko, Director of the Institute of Pedagogics, Psychology and Sports Education of the KBSU, moderated the round table «Inclusive Education in the Conditions of the Modern Educational Environment». She spoke about the project «I’ll help» to provide support to families raising children with disabilities and disabilities through parallel classes with parents. On June 3, the solemn closing and awarding ceremony of the winners and prize-winners of the VII Regional Championship in professional skills among people with disabilities and disabilities «Abilimpics» in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic took place.
