KBSU students performed excellently at the festival «Many faces of Russia»
In December 2022, the results of the IV International Student Festival of Folk Art «Russia of Many Faces» were summed up, which was held at the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov under the auspices of the All-Russian Student Club «Vernadsky», which unites youth organizations and activities of scientific and educational consortiums «Vernadsky» in 33 regions of Russia. The festival is aimed at the patriotic international education of students and the formation of high cultural ideals of youth.
For several months, a kaleidoscope of folk talents sparkled with creative student performances from 63 regions of the country. Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov in the nomination «Ethnic costume» in the direction «Traditional national costume» received the Grand Prix of the competition.
As required by the conditions of the first, correspondence, tour, we sent several photographs with annotations: what kind of costumes, a brief history, information about ethnic Adyghe groups and their difference in costumes. And the work of KBSU student Astemir Zhereshtiev received the highest award of the festival, — commented the director of the center of Adyghe culture of KBSU named after A.A. Tsipinov Madina Ezaova.
In the nomination «Theatrical performances of ethnoculture» in the direction «Reconstruction of holidays, rituals and folk festivals», KBSU presented a ritual filmed on video — the preparation of a Circassian girl for marriage. In this nomination, we became laureates of the first degree, — said Madina Ezaova.
On January 7, 2023, a gala concert of the IV International Student Festival of Folk Art «Russia of many faces» was held online, which included bright numbers of the winners of the festival. KBSU showed a collection of amazing national Circassian men’s and women’s costumes (see from 23.35).
