KBSU students participate in the night 3D hackathon at the 6th leader forum on additive technologies
On November 12–13, a team of students from the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov took part in the 6th leader forum “Additive technologies — the reality of technological leadership” at the ATOM museum site at VDNKh. Organizers: the Association for the Development of Additive Technologies and the Rosatom State Corporation.
“Technology Night” is a competition of student works, where special attention is paid to additive technologies. Teams from MIREA, TPU, KBSU, MSTU “Stankin”, Bauman Moscow State Technical University, SPbGMTU, MADI, Moscow Polytechnic University and other educational institutions competed for 12 hours in the hackathon format in modeling and manufacturing parts for 3D printing.
A situation of a part breakdown at production was simulated for the participants. According to the organizers’ assignment, it was necessary to find and fix an error in a part, design it and launch it into print in one night.
The KBSU «Print Revolution» team consisting of Mukhamed Kashezhev (IIICT), Amir Kashezhev (KITE), Kamilla Tamazova (IH&B), Milana Batyrova (IH&B), Alina Kodzokova (IH&B) did an excellent job of solving the tasks set by the customer on the development and 3D and 5D printing of the specified products. The guys successfully defended their project in front of an authoritative jury, leading Russian experts in the field of additive technologies and entered the top ten teams.
The participation of our university students in the country’s main forum on additive technologies is quite natural — KBSU occupies a leading position in Russia in this field. At the same time, it is very exciting to compete on par with the best universities in the country. Our guys showed a decent result, demonstrating a high level of knowledge and professional skills,
— commented KBSU Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Svetlana Khashirova.
Congratulations to the KBSU student team on their success, continue to move forward, developing your abilities and implementing new projects.
