KBSU students — participants of the All-Russian conference in honor of the anniversary of the Great Victory
September 16, students of the Social and Humanitarian Institute of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov took part in the VIII All-Russian student conference «Pages of unfading glory», which was the result of the next stage of the youth military-patriotic marathon «Glory. Russia. Victory».
The project is being implemented by the Kabardino-Balkarian public organization «Patriot» with financial support from the Presidential Grants Foundation on the platform of the North Caucasus Institute of Arts. The project partners are the Krasnodar State Institute of Culture, KBSU named after H.M. Berbekov, KBGAU them. V.M. Kokov, ChGU, Don State Agrarian University, Southern Federal University, SKGII, Ministry of Education of the KBR, newspaper «Kabardino-Balkarskaya Pravda». A special place in the list of partners, which is mainly represented by organizations of the South of Russia, is occupied by the Russian-Tajik (Slavonic) University (Dushanbe).
The online conference, which focused on the heroic victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, brought together scientists and students from Nalchik, Rostov, Grozny, Tajikistan and Berlin.
The importance of historical memory, the heroic everyday life of soldiers and home front workers and the fact that participation in such events helps to educate the patriots of our country, spoke at the plenary session of the professor of the Department of Russian History at KBSU Pyotr Kuzminov.
In the reports of KBSU students «Unfinished War» Amina Gucheva, «The Great Patriotic War in the fate of my family» Samira Lieva, «The soldier’s way» by Laura Kokoeva, «The period of occupation of Kabardino-Balkaria» by Islam Pashtov and «Heroes from Cuba» by Larina Tengizova, it was noted that the struggle of the Soviet multinational people against fascism was evidence of the highest justice and humanism in the name of the Motherland.
At the expense of the Presidential Grants Fund following the military-patriotic marathon “Glory. Russia. Victory ”was published a collection of materials in 354 pages — evidence of the heroism of ordinary soldiers, described by our contemporaries: schoolchildren, students, scientists, journalists, social activists. This also includes 8 articles by students and postgraduates of KBSU about the participation of immigrants from Kabardino-Balkaria in the battles with the Nazis.
