KBSU students contributed to the Russian “Architectural Heritage”

Students of the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design of Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov’s areas of training «Architecture» have proven themselves excellent in the open review-competition of the best projects and buildings of 2022-2024, held as part of the International Festival «Days of Architecture 2024» in Krasnodar.

The competition was held by the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Krasnodar Territory together with the Southern Territorial Branch of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences, the Krasnodar Regional Branch of the Union of Architects of Russia and consisted of 3 rounds.

The purpose of the competition was to develop architectural creativity, identify and promote the best architectural works, encourage their authors, popularize architectural education and the profession of an architect, identify and promote the best architectural works, and build new vectors for the development of architecture.

A total of 432 student works were presented from universities in various regions of the Russian Federation: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Astrakhan, Maykop, etc.

The first round took place online from February 3 to 12. To participate in it, KBSU submitted 21 applications in the categories “Junior year coursework”, “Senior year coursework”, “Diploma theses” and “Layouts”. Based on its results, 13 works advanced to the second round.

The second round took place on February 19–22 at the Kuban State Technological University. All student works that passed the second round were awarded diplomas:

Asker Tanashev received 3 diplomas of the 1st degree and 1 diploma of the 2nd degree in various nominations;

III degree diplomas were received by Darina Khezheva, Asker Tutov, Kamilla Guchaeva, Tamir Dishek, Alikhan Kozhakov, Asker Tanashev, Rasul Ksanaev and Amina Malkandueva.

The final third round was held on February 28 – March 1 at the Expograd-Yug exhibition and congress complex as part of the International Festival “Days of Architecture”. The works of Asker Tanashev, awarded a 1st degree diploma, took part in it.
