KBSU students celebrated Cosmonautics Day with an exciting quiz
Students of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov (KBSU) took part in an intellectual game dedicated to Cosmonautics Day.
To remind the children about the history of the holiday, a short documentary was shown. On April 12, 1961, Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin on the spacecraft «Vostok-1» for the first time in human history made an orbital flight around the planet Earth, opening a new era in the exploration of the Universe.
Six teams competed for victory in the quiz. The game consisted of several rounds. The children guessed the names of films encrypted in rebuses, competed in accuracy, throwing balls into a basket, and answered questions in a quiz: they concerned the biography of Yuri Gagarin, the history of Soviet cosmonautics and modern achievements in the field of astronomy.
Of particular interest was the stage dedicated to myths and facts about space, where participants were able to test their knowledge of the mysteries of the Universe and the latest discoveries of scientists exploring space. The teams actively discussed their answers, demonstrating not only erudition, but also cohesion.
According to the results of the game, the team of students of the Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of KBSU «The Big Bang Theory» won. The guys demonstrated excellent knowledge and a strategic approach to the tasks. All participants received prizes.
The competition was organized by the staff of the KBSU coordination center.
