Students of the Medical Academy of KBSU became prize winners of the XIX All-Russian (93rd Final) student scientific and practical conference with international participation «Student Science and Medicine of the XXI Century: Traditions, Innovations and Priorities» SMART: Samara Medical ARTicles. A large-scale scientific meeting of young researchers was held at Samara State Medical University as part of the II All-Russian scientific and educational forum with international participation «The Future of Medicine».
The significance of the conference is evidenced by its extensive agenda, dedicated to innovative medical practices and technologies for maintaining and improving public health, and the number of participants. Students from 21 cities of Russia and 3 neighboring countries presented more than 300 unique scientific research on the most relevant areas of medicine in the 21st section.
In the Pathology section, 1st degree diplomas were awarded to students of the KBSU Medical Academy Lalina Bolotokova and Azamat Kardanov for their research work on the topic of «Interval Hypoxytherapy in the Correction of Endothelial Dysfunction in Hypertension». The study, conducted under the supervision of the head of the Department of Normal and Pathological Human Physiology, MD Irina Borukaeva, demonstrated the importance of using interval hypoxic therapy as an effective method in the treatment of endothelial dysfunction, which is a pressing issue in cardiology. Nadira Tkhabisimova and Azamat Kardanov were also awarded a 2nd degree diploma. In the Preventive Medicine section, they presented the results of their research on the topic of «Assessment of the Diet of Students in a Medical University». Their work, conducted under the supervision of the head of the Department of General Medical Training and Medical Rehabilitation, PhD Irina Tkhabisimova, focused on the importance of a balanced diet for medical students. The study showed that students’ diets often do not meet the recommendations for healthy eating, which can negatively affect their academic performance and overall health. According to the academic supervisor, participation in such studies develops students’ critical thinking and analysis skills, which is necessary for future doctors.
The teachers are confident that students’ participation in scientific conferences of this level facilitates the exchange of experience and ideas, inspires them to further research and development in the field of medicine, helps in the development of professional skills, and also forms an active position of future specialists capable of an innovative approach to solving medical problems.
