KBSU student Yana Kulyushina entered the top five strongest archers in the country
Yana Kulyushina, a student of the Physical Education and Sports program at the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Education and Sports Education at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov (KBSU), successfully performed at the All-Russian archery competitions held in Novosibirsk from July 10 to 13.
Kulyushina took first place in the qualifying round, scoring 621 points, which allowed Yana to confirm her title of candidate for master of sports and enter the TOP-5 strongest archers among juniors throughout Russia.
This success is the result of not only talent, but also the painstaking work that Yana does every day. “Preparation for the competition was very intensive,” the athlete shares. – I needed to work on the stability of the shot, increase the number of repetitions, and hone the technique to the point of automatism.”
For Yana, archery is not just a sport, but a way of life. “It’s a family affair,” she says with a smile. “My parents are involved in archery, and they instilled in me a love for this sport.”
Despite her busy training schedule, Yana successfully combines sports and studies at KBSU. “The university provides me with great support,” the girl notes. “KBSU sponsored the trip to the competition, for which I am very grateful.”
Yana’s plans include conquering new heights. “My main goal now is to win a prize at the All-Russian competition,” she shares her ambitious plans. “Now I am preparing for the Caucasian Games, the Russian Cup in Cheboksary, and the Prosecutor General’s Cup of the Russian Federation in Kazan.”
Yana Kulyushina’s example inspires other KBSU students to engage in sports and achieve high results. Her dedication and perseverance are a true example to follow.
