KBSU student — winner of the International Competition «Hygienic Science — the Way to Public Health»
Student of the medical faculty of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov Valeria Demidenko took second place in the IV All-Russian and III International Competition for Young Scientists «Hygienic Science — the Path to Public Health», which was held online from March 1 to May 27 at the Northern State Medical University (Arkhangelsk).
Valeria Demidenko’s scientific work is devoted to the study of anxiety-depressive disorders in students of a multidisciplinary university in the context of distance learning during the epidemic of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The work was carried out within the framework of the scientific direction, implemented at the medical faculty of KBSU under the guidance of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head. Department of Public Health, Health Care and Preventive Medicine Aksana Kardangusheva.
Note that 42 works from students, residents, graduate students and young scientists were submitted for the competition. The geography of the competition participants is vast: from Vladivostok in the east to Kaliningrad in the west, from Arkhangelsk in the north to Vladikavkaz in the south. International participants from Tajikistan were also represented. All competitive works reflected the problematic nature of the problematic issues and areas of concern in hygiene.
The organizers of the competition are the Association of Organizations and Specialists in the Field of Hygiene «Union of Hygienists» and universities of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation: Russian National Research University named after N.I. Pirogov, Voronezh State Medical University named after N.N. Burdenko, Northern State Medical University.
