KBSU student — winner of the All-Russian Olympiad in sopromat

Student of the direction of training «Construction» of the Institute of Architecture, Construction and Design of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov Islam Makhov became the winner of the All-Russian Olympiad in the discipline «Resistance of Materials», which took place on October 23, 2021 on the portal of distance Olympiads and contests «World of Olympiads». He was awarded a diploma for taking 1st place. A letter of thanks was also awarded to the scientific supervisor of Islam Makhova — senior lecturer of the Department of Building Structures and Mechanics of KBSU Lyusya Baragunova.

«Sopromat is a difficult, but at the same time fascinating discipline, on which many special disciplines are based, therefore it is very important to master it well. I am grateful to my teachers for their work, responsibility in the performance of professional duties, the skills and experience that they pass on to us», — said Islam Makhov. Lusya Baragunova also noted that teaching the discipline «Resistance of Materials» at the Department of Building Structures and Mechanics is based on the many years of experience of leading teachers — professionals in their field. The department has laboratory equipment for in-depth study of the discipline, educational and methodological literature on the implementation of laboratory, computational, graphic and coursework has been published in full. All types of classes are conducted using modern computer technology in teaching. Every year, students take part in research work, the results of which are published in the collection of students, graduate students and young scientists «Perspective». Students of the IASiD KBSU are active participants in all-Russian and international competitions and olympiads, where they often win prizes.
