KBSU shows rapid growth in the rating of media activity
The rating of media activity of universities for February 2023 has been published. The rating for February takes into account the media activity of 229 universities subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. According to the updated general ranking of universities M-Rate, within a month the number of subscribers in social networks (Telegram-channel) of universities, the number of views increased by 2 million.
The number of reactions increased by 66 thousand. In the social network «VKontakte» the number of views increased by 11 million. The number of likes increased by 160 thousand. The number of publications increased by 26 thousand. The coverage has increased by more than 950 million. The rating still includes three blocks of indicators: the website, social networks and the presence of the university in the information agenda (media).
The rating is aimed at tracking the work of universities in the information field to attract interest in higher education, Russian science and its achievements. According to the results of the published rating of media activity for February 2023, Kabardino-Balkarian State University entered the Top 20 most media universities in Russia, while improving its result in the overall ranking by 17 positions, taking 18th place.
Simultaneously with the growth in the overall ranking of universities M-Rate, KBSU improved its result by 14 positions in the “social networks” block of indicators, entering the Top 10 most active universities in Russia in social networks, taking 7th place. Positions of the university in social networks: RUTUBE — 2nd place, VKontakte — 8th place, Telegram — 34th place, Odnoklassniki — 57th place.
Growth is also observed in the blocks of indicators “interaction with the media” and “work with the site”. Thus, in the block of media indicators, KBSU is included in the Top 50 universities in Russia, taking 48th place, in the block of indicators for working with the website, KBSU improved its result by 36 positions, taking 76th place.
The results of the published university ranking M-Rate confirm the right choice of the trajectory of the digital transformation of the university, aimed at expanding the presence of the university in the global Internet space, while ensuring the openness of information and readiness for communication of the university.
