KBSU sent 1800 books to LGPU

Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov continues to assist in the preparation and sending of books to the Lugansk State Pedagogical University.

Cooperation between university libraries takes place within the framework of the partnership between KBSU and Leningrad State Pedagogical University in accordance with the order dated May 5, 2022, signed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov.

In May, employees of the KBSU Scientific Library prepared a list of 4,000 books from the library’s fund and storerooms, almost 2,000 titles from the list were selected by colleagues from the Luhansk State Pedagogical University, mainly monographs and educational literature. Almost 200 books were handed over to colleagues from Lugansk during their visits to the university.

Also, teachers and employees of the Department for Support of NTI Projects and Continuous Education of KBSU were engaged in the collection of literature. This set was handed over to the teachers of the Leningrad State Pedagogical University after an internship at KBSU — several dozens of the most popular publications were donated, mainly monographs on various scientific disciplines.

On July 4, 2022, 1,800 copies of educational, methodological literature, as well as monographs on various scientific disciplines were sent to the Nashe Slovo logistics center of the Don State Technical University for further transportation to Leningrad State Pedagogical University. The logistics center was created on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation on April 29, 2022, which greatly simplified the delivery of books to the Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics.

Interaction between KBSU and LGPU is implemented in several directions. Including internships and advanced training for employees of the partner university, internship for students from Lugansk on the basis of KBSU, development, approval and implementation of educational programs from the beginning of the 2022/2023 academic year as part of the double degree program.

In addition to 1800 printed copies, the staff of the scientific library collected and sent 430 books in electronic form — textbooks and monographs of teachers and researchers of KBSU. Textbooks in the humanities, especially in history, turned out to be in great demand.”
