KBSU — project or process of development?
On strategic management and project management in the field of higher education was discussed at the seminar «Comparative analysis of design and process approaches in the management of innovative activities of the University», conducted for the staff of the Strategic Development Department and the Department of Project Management and Programs of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov.
The seminar was conducted by the teacher of the Russian Academy of National Economy, a member of the expert council on education of the Committee on Education and Science of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, vice president of the Russian Student Sports Union, member of the Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for Youth Affairs, and the sport of the Committee on Social Policy of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Roman Olkhovsky.
The expert shared his experience in implementing the principles of project management in a traditional university.
What is a project within the strategic planning of an organization and what are the principles of project management of a higher education institution? The answers to these questions were put together by Roman Olkhovsky and the audience. KBSU is actively introducing a system of project management that contributes to the implementation of the long-term development plan, and this seminar was held with the goal of improving the skills of the management staff of the university by programs of obtaining skills of program-oriented management.
«Detailed study of features, opportunities and shortcomings of the project and process approach allows to improve management efficiency due to the competent application of a full range of tools of these approaches both individually and in the formation of a single integrated system,» — Roman Olkhovsky emphasized.
6.5% of KBSU staff will undergo advanced training in project management until the end of 2018.
