KBSU plans to teach programming languages to schoolchildren approved by the Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation
Director of the Department for Support of NTI Projects and Continuing Education at KBSU Tanzilya Makhieva took part in a meeting held in Moscow in person by the Minister of Digital Development, Telecommunications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadayev.
The meeting discussed the prospects for the «Code of the Future» — a new component of the federal project «Development of the human resources potential of the IT industry» of the national program «Digital Economy of the Russian Federation», implemented by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation. The goal of the project is to create opportunities for the formation of digital competencies among the inhabitants of the country, starting with high school students, who are in demand by the labor market. The operator of the «Code of the Future» project is the autonomous non-profit organization «University of National Technology Initiative 2035».
Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov was among the 21 providers of the «Code of the Future» project to provide schoolchildren in grades 8-11 with the opportunity to take an additional two-year course in modern programming languages. About 1,000 people from 67 constituent entities of the Russian Federation have already registered on the public services portal for training in two additional training programs compiled by KBSU specialists: «Algorithmization and programming (basic course)» and «Data mining (advanced course)».
December 2-3, 2022 In KBSU, successfully, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation and representatives of several subjects of the North Caucasian Federal District, the district session «Code of the Future: Prospects for the Development of the Project in the North Caucasus Federal District» was held.
“At a meeting with the minister, the invited providers talked about their plans, about the goals that need to be achieved in May 2023. We discussed problems, opportunities, resources, considered complex and successful cases. One of the tasks of providers is to convey to the leadership of the Ministry of Digital Development the problems that arise in the course of work, to submit proposals for their solution. In particular, it was proposed to simplify the client path of parents and schoolchildren at the initial stage, during the registration process. From KBSU, information was provided on what activities within the framework of the national program «Digital Economy of the Russian Federation» were implemented at the university, which preceded the fact that we became a provider. This was accepted and supported. The project is designed for several years, but its viability depends on today’s performance.
If about 100,000 high school students start studying in the country, then in 2023 it is possible to increase their number in the project. Or it will require the inclusion of other categories of citizens in the project. We are all well aware of the importance of implementing Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 1, 2022 No. 1193 “On Approval of the Rules for Providing Subsidies from the Federal Budget for Providing Talented Schoolchildren in Grades 8-11 with the Opportunity to Take an Additional Two-Year Course in Modern Programming Languages on the Basis of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization “University National Technology Initiative 2035″.
Teachers of KBSU successfully teach 250 schoolchildren the university’s Boiling Point, travel to the municipal districts of the republic and work with high school students at various sites. In addition, network training for about a thousand people is carried out online jointly by the Volgograd State Technical University.
