Students from the Institute of Management, Tourism, and Hospitality Industry (IMTIHI) of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov, along with Professor Fuza Mambetova, participated in Tourism Week, organized at Pyatigorsk State University (PSU).

The Week’s events included a series of discussions and debates aimed at developing the region’s tourism infrastructure. One of the central figures was Fuza Mambetova, who presented a report on KBSU’s contribution to popular science tourism. The professor noted the importance of promoting this field, emphasizing that expanding educational routes contributes to increased tourist interest and creates new opportunities for educational and research organizations.

A highlight of the Week was a visit to the Shadzhatmaz Observatory, one of the hallmarks of popular science tourism in the region. Observatory staff organized a fascinating tour for KBSU students and faculty, introducing them to modern astronomical equipment and the work of real astronomers. Participants were able to gaze at the Sun through a powerful solar telescope, gaining a unique experience observing celestial bodies.

The participation of KBSU representatives in Tourism Week events proved to be a significant event, strengthening professional ties between leading educational institutions in the North Caucasus. The exchange of opinions and exposure to the latest industry trends enriched the knowledge of all participants, opening up new prospects for the further development of tourism in the region.
