KBSU opens a military training center
On August 17, a working visit to the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov was made by a joint commission of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation on a comprehensive assessment of the implementation of the roadmap for the creation of a military training center at KBSU.
The commission, headed by the head of the Second Directorate of the Main Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Major General Ruslan Vasiliev, included representatives of the Main Directorate of Personnel of the Ministry of Defense, the Russian Air and Space Forces and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The purpose of the visit is to check the readiness of infrastructure facilities, equipment and regulatory documentation for compliance with the indicators of the roadmap for the creation of the VUTS KBSU.
During the visit, the members of the commission visited the building where the military training center will be located, examined the classrooms, the parade ground, the shooting range, got acquainted with the statutory and educational documentation of the KBSU VUTS.
In general, the commission was satisfied with the progress of the work being done. As a positive factor, it was noted that KBSU already has experience in training personnel through the Ministry of Defense. For more than 40 years (until 2010), a specialized structural unit operated at the university — first the military department, then the faculty.
The members of the commission gave recommendations to the representatives of the university management and the curators of the center on the further implementation of the roadmap for the creation of the Military Training Center.
