Release date: 22.04.2025

Over 100 students and teachers of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov joined the All-Russian campaign «Donor Code», dedicated to the national Donor Day of Russia.

The mobile blood donation station of the Kabardino-Balkarian Ministry of Health was located on the KBSU parade ground. Before each blood donation, donors were tested to make sure that they were healthy and ready for the procedure and to find out their blood type. Then their blood pressure was measured. Based on these indicators, they were allowed to donate or, conversely, refused. The blood collection procedure was carried out using the latest medical equipment under the constant supervision of specialists and took no more than 20 minutes.

As part of the campaign, students and teachers of the university were able to learn about the importance of donation and how it helps maintain the health of society. The blood service specialists told us what their main task is – timely replenishment of donor blood components that have a limited shelf life,

— said the director of the KBSU coordination prevention center Iskhak Murachaev.

After the donation, everyone was treated to delicious and nutritious food. This was not only a pleasant end to the process, but also an important part of restoring strength.

This is not the first time I have donated blood. This is a good opportunity to contribute to saving lives, to feel involved in a big cause. And I am glad that I can help patients who need it,

— commented a participant in the action, KBSU employee Milana Tliashinova.

A festive concert was organized at the venue of the All-Russian action with the participation of young artists of the Maryana Kazanova production center «LaStella».

The event was organized by the employees of the coordination prevention center together with the Ministry of Health of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic.
