Release date: 05.08.2021

At the «Boiling Point» of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov is preparing for internal creative exams for admission to the Design College of KBSU.

Rimma Tsorionova, a teacher of special disciplines at the college, told us about the preparatory courses:

“There is an internal creative entrance exam for each specialty in the college: “Design, modeling and technology of garments”,“ Garden and landscape construction”,“Design ”(by industry) and“ Restoration”. The exam includes two tasks: black and white graphics and color abstract composition by topic. As a matter of fact, the exam program, the tasks themselves, are designed in such a way that they can be completed by people without art education. For an abstract composition, you do not need artistic training, the ability to draw from life, apply the principles and rules of composition. We do not test figurative comprehension and learnability. We want to see the ability to see an image, to choose a color. The second task is to emotionally convey the topic in any way and material — it can be a collage, drawing, graphics, whatever. For example, there is the theme «Detective» — it can be a dynamic thriller, and measured in the style of «Poirot», calm or static. This is a test for the ability to abstract, to express an image. Technically, even a child can do this, while we will see what artistic inclinations the applicant has, which we have to develop in the learning process, ”commented Rimma Tsorionova.
Preparatory courses are attended by applicants on the basis of the 9th and 11th grades. In subcourses, children can draw inspiration on the Internet from illustrations suggested by teachers. After classes, the teachers give an artistic assessment of the works, helping the children navigate the examination requirements and work on mistakes.

Many program participants already clearly know in which direction they want to study, and focus on the necessary types of assignments.

“I want to be a web designer, since childhood I have been spinning in this, drawing, trying to make websites and all that,” said Alena Tashueva. — My sister taught me. For me, this is the perfect opportunity to combine career and creativity, as I love to draw. And my sister will help me turn it into a good business, she is also a designer. »
Malika Bapinaeva chose the specialty «Interior Designer» for herself, already assuming that her working career would begin with a revision of the situation in her native school.

“I would like to build houses myself from start to finish. Design, think over the interior, landscape design and so on. I would like to build an ideal school in which both students and teachers will be comfortable and pleasant above all. To do this, of course, you first need to study at college, then at the Institute of Architecture. These are my plans. »
The preparatory courses of the KBSU College of Design will last until August 7. From 14 to 16 August, the institution will host internal creative exams in all areas of study.
