KBSU is a leader among universities in the quality of financial management

Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov took first place in the ranking of the quality of financial management of educational organizations of higher education, subordinate to the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation.

The results of the rating were announced during the first All-Russian Forum of heads of financial and economic services of educational institutions of higher education, held in Moscow.

Head of the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance — Chief Accountant of KBSU Asiyat Kalmykova represented the university at the event organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation with the participation of the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (national research university) and PJSC Sberbank.

The purpose of the forum is to form a professional community of financiers and economists involved in planning, accounting and analysis of financial and economic activities in educational organizations; discussion of current problems of financial and economic activity, as well as prospects for the development of universities in the new economic realities.

More than 300 representatives of the country’s leading universities, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Treasury, as well as enterprises in the real sector of the economy discussed topics such as improving the remuneration system, international academic mobility, the transition to centralized accounting, tax optimization as a tool for identifying the financial reserves of an organization.

At the opening of the forum, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Andrei Omelchuk noted that in order to achieve the benchmarks and goals of the development strategy of universities, it is extremely important to formulate their financial and economic policy for sustainable development. The success of a university largely depends on how well financial services work.

As told by A.M. Kalmykova, vice-rectors for economics, heads of financial services of universities exchanged opinions and experiences, discussed prospects for the development of higher education organizations, taking into account new requirements and recommendations from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The management of KBSU carries out systematic work to ensure effective management of the institution’s financial flows, attracting additional volumes of financial resources and using them with the greatest efficiency to achieve the strategic goals of the university. Systematic monitoring of the financial condition of the university and operational control over the achievement of established financial management indicators are carried out.

Great importance is attached to the motivation system at the university and to the analysis of the situation in the highly competitive market of educational services. In order to obtain high results in accordance with the development program and strategic goals of KBSU named after. Kh. M. Berbekov financial service employees provide conditions for the high-quality conduct of all types of university activities — both main (educational and scientific) and auxiliary (administrative and economic, security, social and educational, international, etc.).

At the first specialized all-Russian forum, representatives of 37 universities that showed tangible results in the field of financial management, high performance discipline in the preparation of documents, made a significant contribution to personnel training and took an active part in a number of key projects of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, were awarded diplomas in various categories .

According to the results of the rating of educational organizations of higher education subordinate to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, our university took first place in the category “Quality of Financial Management,

In addition, in accordance with the letter from the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, KBSU was included in the list of educational organizations of higher education included in the working group to improve the methodological and regulatory framework for the conduct of financial and economic activities by educational organizations of higher education.

Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov was able to occupy such a high position as a result of the effective work of the financial service, which confirms the high status of the regional university, which, according to various indicators, is among the leaders among higher education organizations in the country.
