KBSU improved its positions in the international ranking of universities IAAR

At the VI Central Asian International Forum on Quality Assurance in Education, which was held in Almaty on the basis of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, the results of the international rating IAAR Eurasian University Ranking (IAAR EUR) — 2022 were summed up. As the head of the monitoring and rating research center of KBSU clarified Vitaly Kvashin, the rating focuses on the high quality of education as a priority vector for the development of the university, is based on digital technologies with elements of Webometrics. Its methodology is based on the principles of transparency, objectivity, verifiability and availability of information sources. Participation in the international rating IAAR EUR becomes a kind of quality mark. In 2022, 30 universities are represented in IAAR EUR (the last edition was 32 universities) — from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Moldova and other countries. KBSU took 14th place, having risen by 6 positions compared to the previous edition of the ranking. Our university, which implements more than 20 areas of training, over 360 educational programs, was awarded the IAAR EUR Multidisciplinary University Award for multidisciplinarity. In addition, KBSU is included in the Top 100 universities of the Russian Federation according to the July version of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, which takes into account the volume of web content (the number of web pages and files on the Internet), as well as the visibility and impact of these web publications in accordance with with the number of external links to the university website. This rating is published by the Laboratory of Cybermetrics, a research group of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), based in Madrid. For reference: The Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR / IAAR), together with the Federal Accreditation Agency, annually conducts the international rating «IAAR Eurasian University Ranking (IAAR-EUR) based on the developed methodology using a digital ranking program that allows you to form a university ranking in accordance with international quality standards . IAAR EUR is aimed at a comprehensive assessment of the quality of the activities of higher education institutions, taking into account the international methodological standards for building rankings IREG (Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence), standards for conducting empirical research. The rating contributes to the integration of universities into the global educational and world research space.
