KBSU hosted an international conference on algebra and dynamical systems
About a hundred scientists gathered the International Conference «Algebra and Dynamical Systems», dedicated to the 70th anniversary of A.A. Makhnev, organized by the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov (KBSU) and the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics named after N.N. Krasovsky Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IMM Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences).
The geography of the participants of the conference, which was held on the basis of the Elbrus educational and scientific complex of the KBSU, is extensive. It was attended by representatives of Russian cities — Moscow, St. Petersburg, Nalchik, Vladikavkaz, Krasnodar, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Yaroslavl, Kirov, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Perm, Bryansk, as well as Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, China.
As the director of the Institute of Physics and Mathematics of the KBSU Professor Boris Kunizhev noted:
The conference is aimed at analyzing the current state and identifying promising areas for the development of algebra, number theory, graph theory and the theory of differential equations.
The conference was opened by the head of the department of scientific research and innovation activities of the KBSU Natalia Cherkesova.
Among the participants are 2 Corresponding Members of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 40 Doctors of Science and 32 Candidates of Science. 16 plenary (9 reports online) and 27 sectional reports (18 reports online) were heard.
Based on the materials of the conference, a collection consisting of 69 abstracts was published.
