KBSU hosted a film screening of the documentary trilogy “Russian Caucasus. Three centuries of creation.»
Demonstration of the film in the Temirkanov Hall of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov was organized within the framework of the project “Film Festival Russian Caucasus. Three centuries of creation”, which is supported by the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the North Caucasus Federal District, the North Caucasus Federal University and the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
At the opening of the film screening, Assistant of rector Sergei Shagin noted that Russia and the Caucasus have a long friendship based on mutual trust and respect. Alexander Karmanov, the film’s producer, spoke about the process of creating the trilogy, emphasizing the need to disseminate reliable information about the North Caucasus. He expressed gratitude to historical experts and the Russian Society “Znanie” for valuable advice during the creation of the film.
Filming of the trilogy took place in different cities, including Moscow, Stavropol, Pyatigorsk, Derbent, Georgievsk, Kislovodsk and Vladikavkaz. More than 50 speakers from the North Caucasus Federal District and other regions of the country took part in the creation of the film. Listeners, including foreign students from KBSU, rated the film highly, asked questions and took an active part in the discussion.
