KBSU held its 2025 student initiation ceremony!
Kabardino-Balkarian State University held one of the most exciting and anticipated events of the fall – the traditional freshman initiation ceremony. More than 550 first-year students, faculty, and university administration participated in the event.
The ceremony began with the playing of the Russian Federation anthem. A symbolic moment included the students taking the oath and signing their record books, confirming their entry into the university’s extended academic family. Acting Rector of KBSU, Professor and Doctor of Engineering Sciences Yuri Kambulatovich Altudov addressed the freshmen with a farewell address.
«We are pleased to welcome you to the university. May your years of study be a time of discovery, professional growth, and true student traditions. You are the future of our republic and country,» remarked Yuri Kambulatovich.
The creative program included an ethnic post-folk performance by the group «Chepshch,» musical numbers by Leyla Zhangurazova and Miroslava Vasilchenko, and fiery dances by the «KAFA» ensemble and the team from the Social and Humanitarian Institute. The audience was particularly interested in the national dances performed by international students.
The audience greeted with thunderous applause the videos about KBSU’s signature projects: «Student Spring,» «Miss KBSU,» and the youth forum «Arkan,» which showcased the university’s rich cultural and academic life.
The celebration concluded with a joint performance of the KBSU anthem, symbolizing the unity and pride of the student community.
The student initiation ceremony not only marked the ceremonial start of the academic year for first-year students but also confirmed that KBSU preserves and develops its traditions, remaining a place where knowledge, culture, and youth initiatives are embodied.
