KBSU has traditionally become the venue for the 9th Geographical Dictation

On November 19, 2023, Kabardino-Balkarian State University became one of the sites of the annual international educational campaign “Geographical Dictation”, initiated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Over 200 people came to test their knowledge of geography, broaden their horizons and take part in an exciting event that unites geography lovers from all over the world.

The acting assistant wished good luck and an interesting pastime to the participants. Within 45 minutes, participants had to answer 40 questions not only on disciplines related to geography, but also on the topic “Man and Geography,” dedicated to the Year of the Teacher and Mentor. The questions were divided into two groups: the first part contained questions based on generally known facts, and the tasks in the second part required logic and ingenuity.

The participant’s certificate was issued directly on the site after the dictation was conducted in person. You can find out your results of writing a dictation in a face-to-face format from December 12 on the website https://dictant.rgo.ru/. To do this, in the “Enter form number” field, you must enter the personal identification number (13 digits) assigned to the participant on the site.

The dictation is conducted by the Russian Geographical Society with the aim of popularizing geographical knowledge and increasing interest in the geography of Russia.
