KBSU has been invited by the Higher School of Economics to the U4U intensive
From September 10 to October 8, the HSE Educational Intensive “U4Uonline” will take place for regional universities that are introducing educational online courses into their curricula. Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, a network partner of the Higher School of Economics, is invited to participate in the intensive free of charge.
For the third time, the HSE Online Learning Directorate has been gathering regional universities to conduct the U4Uonline educational intensive. In 2020, the event will be held in a remote format.
The goal of the U4Uonline project is the development of digitalization of regional universities, the development of models and schemes for online inclusion in the educational process, requirements for the regulatory framework, business processes, technological and personnel conditions for organizing online education in universities in a new reality (after the pandemic), dissemination in the Russian Federation, blended learning practices using open online courses of the Higher School of Economics.
The audience of the project: university management, teachers, seminars and managers involved in the development of online learning in universities.
In figures about why U4U is an important all-Russian format of cooperation between universities:
— 57 partner universities throughout the country and abroad, which work to improve the quality of education and increase its status in the regions.
— More than 17,000 students who receive knowledge from the best experts in their field.
— More than 100 online courses that will provide knowledge from the broadest to the narrowest areas of study.
Briefly about what opportunities the intensive gives:
For the university: mastering the algorithms for digitalization of educational processes; networking with the country’s leading university; mastering technologies for creating online courses; study of the legal framework for online learning; professional communication between your teachers and academic leaders.
For participants: development of blended learning technologies; mastering modern formats of teaching disciplines; official professional development and advisory support of leading experts; online internships for teachers and administrators of online learning; support for postdocs, young scientists, authors of scientific articles.
In addition, participation in the intensive course provides advantages when organizing internships under the program to support regional universities.
The U4Uonline program is structured in three areas:
— Training tracks from leading experts of the Higher School of Economics for managers and organizers of online learning;
— Internship with the authors of courses for teachers of partner universities;
— Track for leaders of partner universities, strategic session.

To take part in the educational intensive, the university needs:
— Prepare an official letter from the university on the intention to conclude a network agreement and take part in the intensive until August 15, 2020. Send a letter to u4uonline@hse.ru
— Register the participants of the intensive by the link (the invitation for registration is sent after receiving an official letter from the university)
— For the teaching track: for the teacher to choose and complete training in one of the offered online courses by September 10, 2020.
— If the university is not a HSE network partner, it is necessary to conclude a network agreement with the Higher School of Economics by September 1, 2020, and include online courses in the curriculum of the 2020-2021 academic year.
