KBSU graduate received the prestigious VOIR-2021 award
Graduate of the postgraduate study of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov, candidate of biological sciences Ramazan Fayziev won the main prize of the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Innovators (VOIR) in 2021. A certificate for 1 million rubles was awarded to the inventor for the project «High-tech production of self-destructive medical syringes of the third generation.»
“Our development will benefit millions of people: we will definitely live up to the hopes that are placed on us. The self-destructive syringes that we have invented belong to the third generation, and the fourth is already in line. We will definitely patent them,” — said the winner of the VOIR-2021 Prize. The organizers of the competition were the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Rationalizers, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. The award ceremony was held on November 25, 2021 in the assembly hall of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation with the participation of State Duma Deputy, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Science and Higher Education, Vice President of VOIR Vladimir Kononov, Director of the Department of Innovation and Advanced Research of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Vadim Medvedev, Senator Rimma Galushina , President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev, Chairman of the Central Council of VOIR Anton Ishchenko, Head of Rospatent Grigory Ivliev, Director of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) Oleg Neretin and others. A total of 720 applications from 28 constituent entities of Russia were submitted for the competition. Of these, 100 were selected by Rospatent for the competition “100 best inventions of the country”.
The awards in this nomination were presented by Grigory Ivliev. “We are proud of this nomination: in this way Rospatent contributes to the development of the entire inventive movement in Russia, supports beginners and young talents. I would like to note that it was universities that provided us with an increase in applications by 15% in 10 months of 2021. Our service is open for cooperation with them,” — said the head of Rospatent. During the ceremony, a cooperation agreement was signed between Rospatent and VOIR, aimed at increasing the level of literacy of inventors in the field of intellectual property, and developing specialized initiatives. For reference: Ramazan Fayziev is the General Director of Medintech LLC — a resident of the special economic zone of industrial and production type «Lotos», as well as a member of the jury of the competition for innovative projects «UMNIK» — one of the programs of the Fund for the Promotion of Innovations, the first stage of several programs to support innovative projects.
During his postgraduate studies at KBSU (graduated in 2005, scientific supervisor, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Shaov M.T.) and after that he became the author of 5 Russian and one foreign patents in the field of medical device development.
