KBSU gathered young IT specialists at the INFO-2025 Olympiad
More than a hundred schoolchildren of grades 5–11 and junior students of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU) named after Kh.M. Berbekov took part in the Republican Olympiad in Informatics and Information Security “INFO-2025”.
The intellectual competition was held within the walls of the university as part of the support of young talents in the field of information technology. Participants had to solve ten problems in three hours, requiring not only programming knowledge, but also developed logical thinking, as well as skills in a non-standard approach.
As Tatyana Khashirova, head of the department of computer technology and information security at the Institute of Electronics, Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, noted, every year the level of participants is becoming higher, which is very pleasing. Such competitions help find talented young people who in the future can become professionals in the field of IT and information security.
“Such Olympiads are an important tool for identifying and supporting gifted youth, who in the future can contribute to the development of the IT industry and the field of cybersecurity,” she emphasized.
The INFO Olympiad has been held at KBSU since 2018 and has become a traditional event for aspiring IT specialists of the republic. For many, it serves as a launching pad to test their strengths, gain competitive experience and prepare for further professional training.
