KBSU Enhances Student Financial Literacy
Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU) held a financial literacy lesson for students of the Institute of Law, Economics, and Finance (IPEiF). The event was organized jointly with Sberbank to raise awareness among young people about cybersecurity, fraud protection, and current banking products.
Sberbank specialists served as speakers: Leila Gadieva, Head of External Distribution at the Kabardino-Balkarian branch of Sberbank, and Azamat Kokov and Kamilla Shomakhova, Field Service Managers.
Kamilla Shomakhova delivered a presentation on cybersecurity and protection from fraud. She emphasized the importance of vigilance on social media and messaging apps and shared practical tips for recognizing phishing sites and protecting personal data.
Information about student loans sparked keen interest among the students. Azamat Kokov provided a detailed explanation of the benefits of this product, its eligibility requirements, and early repayment options. He emphasized that state-supported student loans allow students to pay for their education without significantly impacting their family budgets, and also noted the grace period during which only interest is paid.
At the end of the meeting, Sberbank representatives held a quiz. Three winners received valuable prizes from the bank.
