KBSU employees took part in the forum «Healthcare Week of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic 2025»

Teachers, students and famous graduates of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov took part in a master class on medical physics and radiation therapy, which was held as part of the Multidisciplinary Educational Forum «Healthcare Week of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic 2025».

The central speakers of the master class were recognized experts: Viktor Loschenov, head of the laser biospectroscopy laboratory of the General Physics Institute named after A.M. Prokhorov of the Russian Academy of Sciences (GPI RAS), director of the company ZAO «Biospec» and graduates of KBSU — Kanamat Efendiev, research fellow of the laser biospectroscopy laboratory of the GPI RAS, Ruslan Kertiev, chief clinical specialist of the company «AdvancedBionics».

The experts shared their latest developments. Ruslan Kertiev presented an overview of electronic devices implanted in humans. Modern medical implants can completely or partially replace the work of the most important human organs, allowing you to return to a full life. Particular attention is paid to a detailed analysis and principles of operation of high-tech cochlear hearing prostheses manufactured by AdvancedBionics (USA).

The KBSU delegation included teachers, students of the Institute of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Physics and Biology), graduates of the university — medical physicists working in the healthcare system of the KBR.

Zaur Kokov, Associate Professor of the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics of KBSU, noted the importance of holding the forum, as it promotes the exchange of knowledge and practical skills necessary to improve the quality of medical services and the introduction of modern technologies in the field of radiation therapy.

According to the participants, the master class allowed them to deepen knowledge and strengthen ties between educational and medical institutions of the region.
