KBSU employees took part in a large working conference “Knowledge. State. Social Sciences»

What are the goals of a university-wide course on the history of Russian statehood? What are the main ideological lines of our state? How does the worldview of young people influence our future? These and many other questions were answered by the lecturers of the large working conference “Knowledge. State. Social Sciences», in which teachers from all regions of Russia took part, including Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov.

The conference was held on December 12, 2023, on the Constitution Day of the Russian Federation, as part of the educational marathon of the Russian Society “Knowledge”, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Federation Council (Knowledge. Lecture hall).

The organizers were the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation together with the “DNA of Russia” project, the Expert Institute of Social Research and the Russian Society “Knowledge”.

The conference was held in Moscow, VDNKh, Pavilion No. 34 “Space”, as part of the International Exhibition and Forum “Russia”.

Scientists, teachers-researchers, representatives of the public and government authorities summed up the interim results of teaching the new course “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood” and discussed issues of participation in the formation of the historical, state, and patriotic foundations of the worldview among citizens of the Russian Federation.

KBSU was represented by the head of the Department of History of Russia, SGI Zareta Soblirova, and senior lecturer of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, IPEiF, Khazhmurat Kushkhov.

“Today, humanitarian knowledge is acquiring a special character. The discipline “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood” allows students to develop knowledge taking into account the historical and cultural context for subsequent effective management and development. At the conference, colleagues from all over the country, responsible for supporting methodological points, shared their experience and best practices in implementing the discipline. Interesting, informative reports and presentations were presented, the first interim results were summed up, successes and achievements were noted,”

The conference was held within the framework of the tracks “Analysis and discussion of proposals for the ORG course”, “Updating the social sciences and humanities”, “Research”.

Let us remind you that the educational module “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood” has been introduced since September 2023 for all first-year students at Russian universities. The educational module “Fundamentals of Russian Statehood” is part of the “Russian DNA” project. The project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation together with the Russian Society “Knowledge” and is aimed at involving the academic community in educational, methodological and research support of state policy in the field of education, higher education and youth policy.
