KBSU discussed the results of the first year of the project «School without stress!»
More than 300 students of psychological and pedagogical classes of KBR schools, students and teachers took part in the republican scientific and educational forum «For a stress-free school», which was held on December 29, 2022 at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov. As noted by the deputy director of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and the Federal Security Service of the KBSU, the mentor of the social project «For a school without stress!» Rimma Bagova, the forum is the final event of the project for 2022. The project is aimed at solving the problem of the increasing level of stress among modern schoolchildren and their lack of knowledge and skills to deal with it. The project won a competition at the Mashuk forum and received grant support from Rosmolodezh. I hope that the work on the project, which began this year, will be long, — Rimma Bagova explained.
Zhaneta Ashnokova, project manager, said that in 2022 a volunteer detachment of 20 students was formed who learned practical methods of working with stress from teachers from the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and the FSO KBSU. After a short-term training, the detachment began to conduct scientific and practical seminars in rural schools in all municipal districts of the republic. The project activities involve 2,000 schoolchildren from 20 rural schools of the KBR.
During field trips, team members taught children practical stress reduction skills. Three approaches were used: breath control, art therapy drawing, and H.M. Aliyev. I want to thank the teachers of the institute and the team of students for the great work they have done and wish everyone interesting work today, — Zhaneta Ashnokova summed up.

Olga Mikhailenko thanked the guests for their active participation in the events held within the framework of the project. In the plenary part, Ph.D. in Psychology, Rimma Bagova, spoke about psychological strategies for behavior in a stressful situation, describing several methods-exercises to reduce stress: holding the breath, drawing art therapy, trance methods, etc. Associate Professor of the IPPiPhSO KBSU, candidate of psychological sciences Budimir Nagoev analyzed the impact of emotional states on health and concluded that negative emotions can cause significant harm to a person, while positive ones, on the contrary, help to cope with the disease.
Zalina Mamieva, a post-graduate student of the IPPiFSO KBSU, presented the possibilities of children’s animation technology in creating a positive emotional atmosphere. Master classes from leading psychologists of the IPPiFSO KBSU became a significant part of the forum. How to understand one’s own feelings and be able to understand the feelings of another person, how to build the right relationships and maintain them, Budimir Nagoev showed the guys at the master class «Psychology of Love».
Rimma Bagova held a master class «Psychology of Occupational Stress», which discussed the consequences of occupational stress, such as chronic fatigue and emotional burnout. In the practical part of the session, the guests got acquainted with the possibilities of meditation, trance and guided visualization to disconnect from external stimuli and quickly recover. Within the framework of the forum, an exhibition of projects of students and graduate students of KBSU and practical workshops of members of the student volunteer team — Zhaneta Ashnokova «Art Therapeutic Drawing», Ruslana Zhidkov «Medical Psychology of Stress», Zalina Mamieva «Children’s Animation», Milana Bekulova «Stress Test» Key ”, Dina Khashkulova “Projective psychological tests”.
Schoolchildren learned to identify, express and analyze emotions, live and overcome negative emotions and activate resources for solving problems, expanded their experience of self-knowledge. Forum participants left a lot of positive feedback about this day spent at KBSU.
