KBSU demonstrates high results in student beach volleyball

The team of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov achieved significant success at the All-Russian student competitions in beach volleyball, held in Anapa.

The men’s team, which included a student of the Medical Academy Andrey Tsukanov and a student of the Pedagogical College Timur Gonokov, entered the top five teams among higher educational institutions of Russia.

In the match for fifth place, volleyball players from KBSU defeated the team of the Perm State National Research University. A total of 17 student teams took part in the competition.

The women’s team of KBSU, which included a student of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Culture and Sports Education Lina Betuganova and a student of the Medical Academy Milana Gazova, took ninth place. Thus, getting into the top ten student women’s teams in beach volleyball in Russia.

The venue of the competition is the Volley Grad sports and recreation center, located in the picturesque village of Vityazevo near Anapa, which has established itself as the leading beach volleyball venue in Russia. Its sand courts, which meet all international standards, regularly host competitions at the highest level, giving young athletes the opportunity to show themselves to the fullest. It is no secret that student sports are an important stage on the way to the heights of world sports.

The preparation of the KBSU beach volleyball teams for the competition was handled by Anna Konopleva, associate professor of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology and Physical Culture and Sports Education.
