KBSU continues to support its students
On March 10, a charity event was held in the 5th dormitory of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University to help foreign students who find themselves in a difficult life situation due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic and economic sanctions imposed against Russia. So, in connection with the problems of money transfers from some countries on behalf of and. about. Rector of KBSU Yuri Altudov, students who came from abroad were assisted in the form of food packages.
The event is organized by the Higher School of International Education, the campus, the youth policy department, the student council and the student trade union committee of KBSU. Food sets included a list of the most basic products, these are various cereals, pasta, eggs, sunflower oil, etc. The action was attended by students from 10-15 countries, mostly guys from India, Egypt, Syria, from the African continent. Thus, representatives of the university distributed more than 200 food packages, the total weight of which is about 1.6 tons of food. Today, about 2,000 students from 50 countries study at KBSU.
As the director of the Institute of Higher School of International Education Asker Vakashev assured, at the moment there are no problems with food for students, all communities and curators are in touch almost 24/7. Accounts are kept for each foreign student living in the region. Also, the necessary assistance was provided for all individual applications.
