The All-Russian Forum «Training. Examination. Digital: New Formats and Tools for Developing Russian as a Foreign Language» was held at the ART.Technograd innovative educational complex. Marianna Kushkhova, head of the Center for Testing Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons, represented Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kharkiv National Research University (KBSU).
The event brought together leading experts in teaching Russian as a foreign language, digital education, and testing foreign citizens, as well as representatives of EdTech companies. The forum program covered a wide range of topics, with particular attention paid to the use of digital technologies and the introduction of updated examination formats for foreigners, including university entrance examinations.
As part of the business program, a master class on the use of AI in the educational process was held. Forum participants developed practical cases in real time, learned how to formulate effective queries for neural networks, and discussed results that could be applied in real-world work. Emphasis was also placed on developing collaboration between universities and EdTech companies developing educational technologies.
In the section «The New Reality of Exam Administration from 2026: Challenges and Prospects,» Marianna Kushkhova and her colleagues discussed issues related to final exams, the development of assessment materials, and interactions with government agencies.
«The forum provided a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices with colleagues from across the country,» noted Marianna Kushkhova. «Discussing new exam formats and digital tools will allow us to improve the quality of training for international students and make their integration into Russian society more effective.»
KBSU actively supports the adaptation of international students to the Russian-speaking environment by offering high-quality education and developing its own digital resources for learning Russian. The university is the only center in the region where foreign citizens can take a comprehensive exam to obtain the necessary documents.
The All-Russian Forum «Training. Examination. Digital: New Formats and Tools for Developing Russian as a Foreign Language» was organized by Tomsk State University with the support of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Rossotrudnichestvo.
