KBSU Associate Professor Participated in the Dissertation Council of the Eurasian National University in Kazakhstan

Timur Tabishev, Associate Professor of the Institute of Pedagogy, Psychology, and Physical Education and Sports Education at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov (KBSU), and Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, served as an invited foreign expert for the Dissertation Council of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in the areas of «Pedagogy and Psychology» and «Training Specialists in Social Pedagogy» (Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan).

The reason for his participation was the review of the dissertation of Guliyash Niyazova, a doctoral student at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on «Managing Quality Assurance Processes in Educational Programs.»

Timur Tabishev was appointed as a temporary member of the dissertation council based on his extensive experience as an international expert on the quality of higher education at the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating of the Republic of Kazakhstan (IAAR), as well as his participation in joint scientific and educational projects with universities in the CIS countries. His professional activities focus on the management, quality assessment, and accreditation of educational programs.

This is one of the most prestigious universities in the Republic of Kazakhstan, with a recognized high-quality student training system, including very in-depth professional training for doctoral candidates. Here, in addition to publications in peer-reviewed national journals, the defending candidate must submit a published article (or articles) in peer-reviewed international journals of the high quartile and with a high impact factor, as well as a fairly extensive validation of the research results,» noted Timur Arsenovich. The participation of a KBSU representative in this format confirms the international recognition of the university’s competencies and its scholars, strengthens scientific ties with international partners, and opens up prospects for new joint projects in higher education.
