KBSU and Samara State Medical University signed a cooperation agreement
Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H.M. Berbekov signed a cooperation agreement with the Samara State Medical University within the framework of the Priority 2030 program. The delegation of the university, consisting of acting rector of KBSU Yuri Altudov, acting vice-rector for Research Svetlana Hashirova, director of the Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of the KBSU Magomet Mustafaev, director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies Albert Shapsigov, head of the Laboratory of Digital Dentistry of the IS&CHLH KBSU Aslan Deshev and head of the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance of the KBSU Azret Kodzokov during a meeting with the rector of Samara State Medical University Alexander Kolsanov, the heads of the scientific, educational and innovation departments of the university discussed areas of effective cooperation between the two universities, exchanged experience in project management, organization of educational and research activities.
Rector of KBSU Yuri Altudov noted:
Samara State Medical University is one of the most powerful innovation and research centers in the country, on the basis of which a unique full-cycle infrastructure has been debugged. It includes the Institute for Innovative Development, and it includes the breakthrough research center «IT Medicine», an engineering center and a research and production technopark with its own mass production.
The emphasis in our cooperation will be on the creation of import-substituting high-tech medical products using polymer materials developed at KBSU, the introduction of artificial intelligence in the field of medical care, the development of telemedicine, the improvement of the educational process, the creation and implementation of joint scientific projects. In this regard, KBSU is strong in the development of superstructural polymer materials and additive technologies, including polymer 3D printing, which will undoubtedly be useful for the implementation of the full cycle of production of surgical navigation systems, rehabilitation equipment, and surgical implantation.
Rector of Samara State Medical University, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Kolsanov noted:
We have accumulated extensive experience in the development and production of innovative medical products, we can produce prototypes, samples and provide small-scale production of medical products, and thanks to a recent agreement with the Medical Technology consortium, signed with the support of the government of Samara areas, we will be able to organize mass production. Thus, scientists, doctors and engineers of the university develop medical products, test them in Clinics, and then bring them to the market, projects at Samara State Medical University are implemented on the principle of “from idea to series”. And the agreement with the Kabardino-Balkarian State University will bring closer the solution of the problem of technological sovereignty. The authority and competence of KBSU in the creation of medical polymers and composites based on them will be effectively built into the roadmap for the development and production of innovative medical products.
