KBSU and INR RAS discussed new trajectories of cooperation
Within the framework of cooperation between KBSU and the Baksan Neutrino Observatory of INR RAS, on November 10, 2020, the rector of KBSU Yuri Altudov visited the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where he met with the Director of the Institute, Professor of the RAS Maxim Libanov, Deputy Director for Research, Professor of the RAS Grigory Rubtsov.
During the conversation between the rector of KBSU and the leadership of INR RAS, the directions of interaction both in educational and scientific activities, prospects and practical steps for creating a world-class Scientific and Educational Center «Neutrinos, Intelligent Systems, New Generation Materials and Green Economy» consortium for solving the problems of the university in the framework of the program of strategic academic leadership.
According to Yuri Altudov, KBSU has many points of contact with INR RAS both in the field of joint scientific research and in training scientific personnel for the Baksan Neutrino Observatory of INR RAS. Further development of the historically established cooperation of the university with INR RAS will contribute to the transition of university science to the world level, since within the framework of the consortium the university gets access to unique megascience-class facilities and the opportunity to participate in international projects.
Yuri Kambulatovich emphasized that the integration of universities and world-class research centers is undoubtedly the best tool for solving the tasks set by the new program of strategic academic leadership and the national projects «Science» and «Education».
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on the continuation and expansion of cooperation between KBSU and INR RAS in the field of educational and scientific activities within the framework of the Strategic Academic Leadership Program and the continuation of joint work on the creation of a world-class scientific and educational center, the core of which is the development of neutrino physics, which is the leading edge of fundamental science and providing the basis for the technologies of the future.
