Integration of specialties was discussed at an interregional conference in Pyatigorsk
At the interregional scientific and practical conference, which was held in Pyatigorsk, specialists from different regions of Russia discussed modern approaches to the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and other current topics in osteopathy. The event was held by Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov and the Kazan State Medical Academy with the support of the Russian Osteopathic Association.
Opening the forum, the director of the Institute of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery of the KBSU, Magomet Mustafaev, noted:
“Osteopathy and posturology are becoming key areas in healthcare. Their integration with other specialists such as oral surgeons, dentists and orthodontists improves the efficiency of patient treatment.”
According to him, in the near future it is planned to open a specialty and clinical residency in osteopathy at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov.
The head of the laboratory of digital dentistry at KBSU, Aslan Deshev, spoke at the conference about the connection between occlusion and posture, and also presented new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of dental patients.
Famous osteopaths Dmitry Mokhov, Elena Tregubova and Gulnara Safiullina conducted master classes demonstrating the possibilities of treating and diagnosing various dysfunctional phenomena in the body.
