Bright, modern and interesting, judging by the reaction of the public, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after H. M. Berbekov celebrated the Day of Russian students.

By tradition, the holiday opened an exhibition of national dishes. Three centers of culture of the KBSU generously laid tables in the lobby of the social and humanitarian institute. Everyone could taste the Balkar khichins, Kabardian snacks, Russian pies and pancakes, and other fragrant and appetizing-looking goodies.

In the hall of the Creative Workshop of A.Sokurov the students were congratulated by the representatives of the university management and the guests of honor.

On behalf of the highest legislative body of the republic, KBSU students were greeted by Svetlana Azikova, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Committee on Education and Youth Policy:

Good luck, the implementation of the most ambitious plans were wished to the young men and women by the Minister of Education, Science and Youth Affairs Awes Kumykov and the representative of the Union «Association of trade union organizations of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic» Larisa Vorokova.

Then, the most distinguished students in studies, sports and social activities were awarded certificates and thanks.

Finally, the time has come for the most long-awaited event of the day — the annual grand show «Miss KBSU Students — 2019». This year, the competition gained international status due to the participation of foreign university students.

Beauties participating conquered the public and the jury with their charm, wit, erudition and their inherent talents. They answered the tricky questions from the “Multi-colored Lotto”, danced, read stand-ups and poems, surprised them with artistic skill. The participation of girls in the collection of young designer Lalina Saralp in ethnic style became unforgettable. By literally drowning out the music, shouting out the names and applauding, the fans supported their favorites.

The performances of girls were evaluated by Ahmed Autlov, head of the youth policy department of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Affairs of the KBR, chairman of the trade union committee of undergraduate and graduate students of the KBSU, Islam Bosiyev, actress and singer Tatyana Tretyak, actor and director of the Balkar State Drama Theater named after K. Kuliev Aubekir Miziev, the subjugator of Everest Karina Mezova.

At hour X, the jury announced its verdict. The title “Miss podium” went to Milan Skvitaridze (medical college), “Miss talent” — Liana Shanibova (medical faculty), “Miss individuality” — Leila Chuchueva (IPEiF), “Miss elegance” — Bella Begieva (IPPFFSO), “Miss charm” — Supriya Singh (Graduate School of International Education), “Miss Congeniality” — Lena Kurzhieva (IASD), “Miss Grace” — Ilyana Kazancheva (KIT & E).

The audience award went to Leyla Chuchueva. The title of Vice Miss received Liana Shanibova. Well, the crown of Miss KBSU students — 2019, in the unanimous opinion of the jury, went to Suprie Singh, a student from India.
