Rimma Bagova held an informative conversation with high school students about the influence of books and psychological literature on human life and the motivation for self-development, introduced them to psychological literature to develop their ability to introspection.
Zarema Bagova spoke about the structure, main functions and main activities of the library and took the guests on a tour of the service departments of the National Library of KBSU. Head reading room for the humanities and social sciences, Larisa Tesheva acquainted the participants of the meeting with the educational projects of the KBSU scientific library, implemented jointly with the Presidential Library named after B.N. Yeltsin.
The guests were interested to learn about electronic resources for schoolchildren, about various ELS, with which the scientific library of KBSU cooperates. Head scientific literature subscription Aisanat Dalova and Rita Unezheva presented the Rare Books Department of the KBSU Scientific Library.
«The pride of any library is its rarities — rare book editions that make up its golden fund and become the basis for creating a department of rare books.
The department of rare books of the KBSU library is the most unique department of the library, the pearls of which are three handwritten church books (1594, early 1600 and 1700). According to its content, the fund is universal and includes books on various branches of knowledge. The library of KBSU expresses its sincere gratitude to everyone who donates rare publications to the library of the university. Among our donors, I especially want to mention Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Azmet-Geri Shebzukhov, Doctor of Philology, Professor Umar Aliyev, Doctor of Physical Sciences, Professor Khamitbi Mamsirov, Candidate of Medical Sciences Hadzhi Akhriev and many others.
Exhibitions are also regularly held in the Rare Books Fund. One of the most interesting and striking, which I would like to pay attention to, is the exhibition of books by A.S. Pushkin. In the department of rare books, readers are given the opportunity to get acquainted with publications unsurpassed in their content, which, in terms of release time, significantly exceed the age of our library. Undoubtedly, every reader will find here his own book, close and necessary to both the mind and the heart. I hope that the fund of our library will continue to be replenished with such valuable and rare publications that will allow our readers to look into the depths of centuries-old history», — presented to high school students the department of rare books of the library of KBSU for. scientific literature subscription Aisanat Dalova.
Head Rare Books Department Rita Unezheva showed a beautifully designed presentation where the children could see unique editions of past centuries on the screen. In the course of the interactive book and illustrative exhibition-game «The Multifaceted World of Psychology», prepared by Madina Batova and Maryat Buranova, employees of the Department of Educational Literature of the SPE NB KBSU, the students got acquainted with the literature on the psychology of self-development, performed the exercises «Dictionary of emotions», «Let’s draw a mood» and completed his visit to the neurogymnastics department of the library.
The young guests were interested to know that this section contains literature for students of secondary vocational education programs, and teachers, in turn, noted that such an approach in determining the structure of the library is quite appropriate. The guests also visited other departments of service, where each head of the department involved students in a new atmosphere of kindness and striving for new knowledge. At the end, the participants of the event shared their vivid impressions, held a photo session in the leisure and recreation areas located on the territory of the KBSU Scientific Library.
