Heads of partner universities received honorary awards

On August 5, a ceremony of awarding honorary diplomas of the Government of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic to deputies of the People’s Council of the Lugansk People’s Republic was held at the Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh.M. Berbekov: rector of the Lugansk State Pedagogical University Zhanna Marfina and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the LSPU Pavel Pilavov. Also, a state award of the Lugansk People’s Republic — the honorary badge «From the grateful people of the LPR» — was presented to acting rector of KBSU Yuri Altudov.

I am glad to welcome our old friends from the Lugansk State Pedagogical University, with whom we have long and fruitfully cooperated, within the walls of KBSU. We have many common points of contact in the field of education and upbringing of youth; we are also discussing the possibility of cooperation in an even wider range of areas: in the field of healthcare, development of various sectors of the national economy, etc. I would like to note that both the leadership of the KBR and our university provide enormous assistance to the participants of the SVO, among whom there are many employees and students of KBSU. We are grateful to the leadership of the KBR for the support provided within the framework of the Priority 2030 program, of which we are participants,

Before fulfilling the pleasant mission of presenting the award to Yuri Altudov, rector of LSPU Zhanna Marfina addressed those present:

We have developed excellent professional relationships that have already grown into a strong friendship. Once again, I express my appreciation and gratitude to the entire staff of KBSU, personally to Yuri Kambulatovich for the enormous assistance and support provided to our university in difficult times, for the creative work that you are doing in relation to the entire education system of the LPR.

By decree of the head of the Luhansk People’s Republic Leonid Pasechnik, acting rector of KBSU Yuri Altudov was awarded the state award of the Luhansk People’s Republic — the honorary badge «From the grateful people of the LPR» — for conscientious and fruitful work, significant personal contribution to the development of education and improving its quality, transfer of many years of experience and knowledge to the younger generation of teachers.

It is important to note that Yuri Altudov became the first laureate of the award of the head of the LPR for his contribution to the development of education in the Luhansk People’s Republic.

Acting rector of KBSU expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Luhansk People’s Republic for the high assessment of the work of the university staff and emphasized the importance of continuing joint work for the sake of developing education in both republics.

Honorary certificates of the Government of the KBR for fruitful cooperation in the field of education were received from the hands of the Head of the Administration of the KBR Mukhamed Kodzokov by representatives of the Luhansk State Pedagogical University Zhanna Marfina and Pavel Pilavov.

I am confident that the traditions that have been laid down over 10 years of interaction and mutual assistance between our universities will benefit both the Lugansk People’s Republic and our university and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic,

Deputy of the LPR People’s Council, chairman of the LPR Board of Trustees Pavel Pilavov thanked the KBSU staff for their attention to children from the annexed territories participating in the Federal Project «University Shifts» and wished the SVO participants a speedy return home with victory.

Concluding the meeting, Yuri Altudov expressed confidence that the partner universities KBSU and LSPU have a great common future ahead.
