Recently, Kabardino-Balkarian State University named after Kh. M. Berbekov hospitably opened its doors to high school students of the republic’s schools. The purpose of the visit is an excursion, acquaintance with the advanced educational and scientific laboratories and research centers of KBSU.

Today in the field of education, close attention is paid to engineering and technology. Thus, in his message to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed out that engineering education needs to be brought to the world level and the technological training of graduates must be strengthened as much as possible. The development of interest in engineering should begin from school, so that by the time the applicant enters the technical direction of the university, he already has a complete understanding of the profession for which he is going to enter, and has initial knowledge and skills of engineering and technical activities. For this purpose, we invited students of the Municipal Municipal Educational Institution “Lyceum No. 2” of the city. Nalchik to show them modern laboratories and innovative research centers of the Institute of Informatics, Electronics and Robotics of KBSU,

– explained Rustam Kalmykov, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs and Quality of Education of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Reproduction of KBSU.

At the beginning of the excursion, he told the schoolchildren that the institute provides training in such areas as “Radio Engineering”; “Design and technology of electronic means”; «Electronics and nanoelectronics»; “Design and technological support for machine-building production”; «Mechatronics and robotics»; «Quality control»; «Management in technical systems.» The children learned that the institute has more than fifty educational and scientific laboratories and two innovative scientific educational centers equipped with world-class high-tech equipment for mechanical engineering and robotics. Rustam Kalmykov explained the importance of having such specialists for the development of the economy of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and for the country as a whole.

A graduate of the institute, now Deputy Director for Educational and Career Guidance at the Institute of Economics and Development of KBSU, Hamidbi Losanov, advised the children to enter KBSU, a leading university in the North Caucasus, where highly professional teaching staff work.

Our institute trains highly professional engineers and IT specialists — future representatives of the technical intelligentsia. A busy student life awaits you. Many of our students are winners and prize-winners of various olympiads and competitions, receive scholarships from the President and Government of the Russian Federation, the Head of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and other personal scholarships,
