Friendly visit to KBSU by representatives of the University of Oman the Malaysian International Islamic University
The head of the student and academic exchange department of the Department of International Cooperation of the Sultan Qaboos University (Oman), Hamud Mohammed Al Qasimi, and the associate professor of the Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance of the International Islamic University (Malaysia), Said Marwan Mujahid, visited KBSU to establish contacts.
The visit to Kabardino-Balkaria took place through the mediation of a human resources specialist from the Office for Work with Students and Alumni of MGIMO University of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Nazim Abdullaev. He brought guests to KBSU at the request of the director of the Institute of Management, Tourism and Hospitality Ramazan Ligidov. MGIMO and Sultan Qaboos University cooperate closely within the framework of the bilateral academic mobility program.
Guests from the Middle East and Southeast Asia have been in Kabardino-Balkaria for several days and managed to visit the Elbrus region and the Chegem Gorge. Hamoud Mohammed Al Qasimi first of all shared his impressions of the unforgettable trip, and then told the students of the Higher School of Education of KBSU about the Sultan Qaboos University. QS, the international ranking of the best universities, ranks this university 454th in the world. It occupies leading positions in the ranking of world engineering and technology, in the field of social sciences and management, biomedical sciences, and natural sciences. Now the university. Sultan Qaboos is actively mastering science in Russia. A cooperation agreement has already been signed with Kazan Federal and Astrakhan State Universities. Oman plans to open a summer school for foreign students, which Russians can also attend if they wish.
Director of the Kabardino-Balkarian branch of the Russian Society “Knowledge”, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Anzor Dikinov, expressed hope that KBSU and Sultan Qaboos University will also find a common language.

According to Said Marwan Mujahid, an associate professor at the Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance at the Malaysian International Islamic University, their university is ready to establish business ties with KBSU. Today, more than 12 thousand students are educated here, including 700 foreign students from more than 40 countries. Said Marwan Mujahid also spoke about the principles of Islamic banking. In Russia, only five regions currently operate under this system.
The guests were asked a number of questions from the audience. They were more interested in the terms of the student exchange program. Director of the Institute of Management, Tourism and Hospitality Industry of KBSU Ramazan Ligidov, summarizing the results of the meeting, noted:
